In the 7 months that I have been with YBM, I¡¯ve developed personal and professional relationships
that I hope last the rest of my life. This is my first year here teaching, and I have found many of the
children to be intelligent and eager to learn. The assistant teachers are also helpful and caring.
Both the parents and the school¡¯s administration take an active interest in the class happenings.
The administration is also very open to receiving concerns that arise both in school and at home.
At the moment, I work with a diverse group of foreign teachers: a few from the States, a few from
Canada, some Europeans, and an Australian. They have been a constant source of support, ideas
for class, and friendships. There is an open and inviting atmosphere that we work hard to maintain.
We are always happy to meet new people.
This has been one of the best jobs of my life, and with 5 months left on my contract, I find that
I want to stay in South Korea for at least another year.
