Currently YBM Pine Division provides to our teachers a single studio such as an office-tel type or
the traditional 3 to 4 story "walk-up" type housing as well as one-bedroom apartments.
An office-tel is like a high-rise condominium bachelor pad. It is the most clean and modern of our
available housing types. Office-tels come equipped with modern features such as keypad entry,
a lobby with a security guard and built-in appliances. The interior is usually a studio-type, however
select locations provide the "loft" type design. The drawback to office-tels is that the utility fees
tend to be higher in office-tels. Also, some office-tels tend to not be as spacious as the other
housing types.
The walk-up is a 3-4 story apartment complex. They have no elevator and you have to "walk up"
the stairs, hence the name. The interior is usually set up like studio, meaning that the kitchen area,
living area, and bedroom area is all within one wide-open space.
A one-bedroom apartment usually will offer a separate bedroom and living area. The kitchen area
will usually be a part of the living area.
The apartment complexes are usually 7-8 stories with an elevator.
Under the regular contract YBM provides furnished rent-free housing for our contracted teachers.
Teachers will be presented with a secure and clean accommodation, which will include a single
size bed, a refrigerator, a washer, a gas stovetop burner, a small dining table & chairs, a regular sized
TV and a small chest/dresser.
Currently almost all of our housing has air conditioning as well as the traditional Korean floor heating system.
