| YBM Sisa-Yong-O-Sa Inc. is the former name of YBM Education Inc., one of South Korea¡¯s largest
publishing companies and the largest in the field of teaching English as a second language.
The corporation was established in 1961 as a publishing company and to this day YBM still publishes
text in Korea from companies such as, Newsweek, National Geographic, Reader¡¯s Digest, and Random
House. Under the leadership of Dr. Sun Shik Min, YBM Sisa is the largest publisher and importer
of English language study material in Korea. Among its product lines are English language textbooks,
dictionaries, DVD¡¯s, and online learning systems for both children and adult learners.
YBM also introduced the TOEIC test in Korea and administers the test every month in Korea.
YBM not only offers English language classes, but also provides Chinese and Japanese language
classes for adults.
YBM also has Korean Language classes for foreigners offered at two locations
(Jongro ELS and Yeoksam ELS). All full-time YBM employees are eligible to receive 50% off the
tuition of the language programs at YBM ELS in Jongro and Yeoksam.

Under YBM Education Inc. there are diverse divisions catering specifically to the different needs of
Koreans. YBM Pine Division a part of YBM Education Inc. started in 1996 manages three different
schools based on the age of children. YBM Appletree Nursery is for children ages 2 to 4,
YBM Pre-School Academy is for children ages 5 to 7, and YBM International Academy is for elementary
school children. All of the schools under YBM Pine Division are company-owned schools, and
YBM has plans to open schools in new locations under the Pine Division throughout Seoul
All of our company owned schools are fully equipped with computers, copiers, age appropriate
textbooks, and supplementary teaching materials as well. At the head office for YBM Pine Division
we have our R&D Department that is always searching for better methods and textbooks to use in
our schools. We have on average 10 foreign teachers at each location from several different countries
around the world.
